The European Parliament is waiting: after the European Commission's dramatic rejection, on 19 December 2013, of the agreement reached by Parliament and Council just hours before on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) and the request from the Presidency of the Council to Parliament that it should reject the amendments included in the compromise (see Europolitics 4778), the EP left the negotiating table.
