232,117 TONNES OF GRAIN LICENSED FOR EXPORT TO THIRD COUNTRIES AND ACP.

232,117 tonnes of grain worth Euro 13 million were licensed for export to third countries and African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries by the European Commission at the management committee meeting on March 16. The EU executive issued certificates for 78,174 tonnes of common wheat, 99,884 tonnes of barley and 54,059 tonnes of rye. The licenses break down thus: wheat: 60,000 tonnes from the free market (maximum refund of Euro 29.49/tonne) for third countries, 2,300 tonnes from the free market (Euro 32.45/tonnes) for ACP countries and 15,874 tonnes from French intervention...
