46% OF BRITISH COMPANIES AFFECTED BY A COMPUTER VIRUS.

Forty-six percent of British companies have been victims of one or more computer viruses, while 12% of them have been the target of computer piracy, according to a survey on "cybervandalism" conducted by Lloyd's of London. The insurance underwriters say these two phenomena have entailed damages of between GBP100,000 and GBP500,000 (Euro 159,000-794,000) for 11.4% of the firms surveyed and of less than GBP100,000 for 25.3% of them.
