ACPS TO INVITE CUBA TO FIJI.

Anicet Georges Dologuele, Prime Minister of the Central African Republic, and at the same time the President of the ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific) Council of Ministers, announced on 10 May the reluctance of the ACP countries to break off ties with Cuba, which recently turned its back on talks on joining the EU/ACP Convention. The ACPs would like a "symbolic" gesture to be made towards Cuba. "We will do our utmost to see Cuba's application to join the Convention is put pack on the 8 June agenda", said Mr Dologuele.
