Chile said that Spain's Aguas Barcelona (Agbar) and France's Suez Lyonnais won a 42% stake in the country's largest water company Emos with a bid of USD964 million. The Franco-Hispanic consortium, known as Inversiones Aguas Metropolitanas, offered the highest amount in the privatisation of the company that supplies water to Chile's capital city and surrounding areas.
