REPORT ON STAFF POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

n accordance with Ar ticle 41(3)(b)(ii) of the Financial Reg ulation, this document outline s the policy of the

Court of Justice of the European Union (the Court or t he nstitution) for the management of posts and

external personnel. That policy aims, in particular, to make optimal use of the human an d budgetary

res our ces made ava ilab le b y th e bud get ar y au thor it y, wh ile see kin g to d eve lop e mpl oye e sk ills and ensu re

good working conditions. n that con text, the Court s personnel adminis tration uses all the means at its

disposal in order to a chieve those objectiv es in a dicult context of budget ary restrict ions.

2. STAFFING SITUATION

At the end of the nanci al year, 2 217 persons , that is ocials , members of the temporary s ta and

members of the con tract sta (CS ), were employed by the Cour t.
