The Swiss telecommunications equipment and automation company Ascom, said 1998 sales totalled SF2.7 billion Swiss francs (USD1.95 billion), down from SF2.95 billion the year before. Adjusted for acquisitions and divestments, last year's SF2.7 billion was unchanged from the 1997 sales total. Order intake in 1998 totalled SF2.77 billion, down from SF3.18 billion the year before.
