AUDIOVISUAL POLICY : COMMISSION SETS UP EUROPEAN REGULATORS' GROUP.

In response to the changing landscape of the audiovisual broadcasting sector - particularly with content increasingly being created and distributed online across borders - the European Commission felt it would be useful to create a system to ensure closer and more regular cooperation between the Commission and the independent regulatory bodies in the member states. On 3 February, the Commission officially established a European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services. This group will gather managers or high-level representatives from these bodies and essentially advise the Commission on how to implement Directive 2010/13/EU on audiovisual media services (AMS). The group will also allow for an exchange of experiences and good practice.
