Belgium has become the 14th EU member state to ratify the EU Constitution after the Flemish Parliament voted to approve the text on February 8 by 84 votes for, 29 against and one abstention. The Flemish Parliament was the last of Belgium's seven parliaments (Senate and lower chamber at federal level, the German-speaking Community, German-speaking Community, Region of Wallonia, the Brussels-Capital Region, Flemish Community) to vote.
