On March 3, Bouygues Telecom, mobile telephony subsidiary of the Bouygues group, reported a net loss for 1999 before deferred tax of Euro 540 million, following a loss of Euro 394 million in 1998. The loss represents all of the deficit recorded by the subsidiary. The Euro 258 million deficit set down in the accounts of the mother company was already in the public domain.
