As they are waiting for the European Parliament's opinion in second reading on the Sixth RTD Framework Programme (2002-2006), it is likely that the Ministers will discuss the rules covering participation in the Framework Programme as well as certain aspects of the programme's management.EU Ministers responsible for telecommunications and the information society will meet in Brussels on March 25 (the agenda of this session was not yet available when this edition went to press).* Seminars on Community funding for IST projectsA seminar on Community funding of IST (information society technologies) will be held in Scotland on March 14, 15 and 18 to help organisations in the United Kingdom to take advantage of the Community financing of IST projects as part of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and programmes such as TEN Telecom and eContent.The seminar, which will take place in Glasgow on March 14, Dundee on March 15 and Inverness on March 18, is organised by the Scottish Innovation Relay Centre (IRC), Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, in association with UKISHELP, the national contact points (NCPs) supporting British participants in the EU's IST programmes.Peter Walters, a UKISHELP expert will, during his speech, present available funding opportunities via FP6 and other programmes.
