* Conference on e-business and intellectual property

The European Patent Office is holding its first-ever annual epoline conference in Nice, France from December 3 to 5, designed to provide the intellectual property community with up-to-the-minute information about the latest developments in IP e-business. In addition to hands-on workshops on the range of electronic products and services, the conference will also offer theoretical training on various aspects of the patent granting procedure, together with a third, broader stream looking at the impact of the changing role of intellectual property today. Seminars and hands-on workshops will be conducted in English, French and German, and guest speakers from industry will illustrate their experiences of the patent system using relevant case studies, and experts will share their vision of the changing role of intellectual property today. The conference should be of particular interest to patent attorneys, their administrative staff and others involved in IP.
