* Earth and Space Week 2005:

The third summit on earth observation will be held in Brussels from February 12 to 20. The event is organised by Hill & Knowlton for the European Commission and aims to give leaders from the four corners of the world an opportunity to present future methods for Earth observation and their applications. A ten-year action plan towards a network of global, sustainable and co-ordinated systems of Earth observation is expected to be adopted on February 16. An international conference on space co-operation will be held on February 17-18. An "Earth and Space" will be open from February 12 to 20. The exhibition is open to the public and entrance is free.

* Web-based project management for FP6

A workshop on understanding the principles of electronic collaboration and dissemination tools to facilitate the implementation of FP6 projects and the effective dissemination of research results will take place in Cambridge, UK, on March 1. The aim is to look at the importance of using web-based electronic collaboration tools for FP6 project management. The workshop will also address network management and dissemination, the view of the European Commission, the desired functionality and how to assess products that are currently available:

* TED conference on e-government

The Towards Electronic Democracy programme TED, launched by the European Science Foundation to promote the development of e-democracy and e-government systems is holding a conference on March 2-4 in Bolzano, Italy. The event aims to address a broad spectrum of issues that are relevant for a successful transition from traditional forms of government to e-government and will focus on inter-disciplinary methods and techniques that are relevant to the TED programme.
