* Examining the links between innovation and e-business: A conference examining the links between innovation and e-business will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on May 26 and 27. The event will bring together high level policy makers from around Europe, researchers and practitioners to debate the convergence between e-business and innovation. Participants will also discuss how e-business can enable new ways of doing business. A central focus of the conference will be how to design policies that address e-business and innovation in a complementary manner, so as to help business move into new fields. * NO-REST workshop on the impacts of standards on ICT: The Sixth Framework Programme project NO-REST (the networked organisations - research into standards and standardisation) is organising a workshop on the impact of standards in the ICT sector. The event will take place on May 27 in Sophia Antipolis, France. The goal of the event is to develop a better understanding of the impacts that standards may have in the e-business and ICT sectors, and to explore different approaches to assessing these impacts. * European semantic web conference: Staged in Crete, Greece, from May 29 to June 1 2005 in the context of the FP6 (sixth framework programme) the conference will focus on ground-breaking research in areas such as knowledge mark-up languages, semantic web services and ontology management.
