* Concluding presentation of the European Web Survey Methodology project: The concluding presentation of the European WebSM project, financed by the EU will be held in Brussels on Wednesday, December 7. WebSM (web survey methodology), a thematic network, falls under the Fifth Framework programme of the European Union. Its main aims are to promote activities that accelerate excellence in European research on Web surveys and activities that stimulate the co-operation among European researchers as well as the dissemination of the knowledge in publicly available and user-friendly manners. Since the projects financing ends in December 2005, the closing ceremony will include presentations of the specific activities, such as establishing online scientific communities and organising web surveys. * eGovernment Interoperability: role & responsibilities of Regional Administration: On December 2, a workshop entitled " eGovernment Interoperability: role & responsibilities of Regional Administration" will be held in Brussels (Belgium). The workshop is being organised by the TERREGOV Project, financed by the European Commission under Information Society Technology (IST) programme of the 6th Framework Programme (FP6). The project addresses the issue of interoperability of eGovernment services for local and regional governments. The aim of this workshop will be to have an open discussion on whether the regional level is the right one to develop interoperable eGovernment services, and this will be done by sharing the existing experiences in several European Regions. * Slovenia to host the scientific forum dedicated to the internet: IPSI 2005, an international scientific forum dedicated to the internet will be held in Bled (Slovenia) from December 8 - 11. A Broad range of topics will be covered at the conference: Education, Computer science and engineering, e-MBA, e-Medicine, Interdisciplinary research, and other topics relevant to electrical engineering, computer/communications engineering, informatics, business administration, science, law, pedagogy, and medicine.
