CINEMA : THREE FILMS COMPETING FOR LUX PRIZE SHOWN THROUGHOUT EU.

This year, the European Parliament's LUX Prize - awarded to European films which stimulate debate about European values and topical social issues - is set to make a name for itself(1). For the first time since it was created in 2007, the three shortlisted films, subtitled in the 23 official languages of the EU, will be screened in the 27 member states during the LUX Film Days - which opened on 22 October in Luxembourg - and will be organised in various cities this autumn.

For the 2012 shortlist, the MEPs chose Hungarian film Csak a szel' (Just the wind) by Bence Fliegauf; Italian film Io sono Li' (Shun Li and the Poet) by Andrea Segre; and Portuguese film Tabu' by Miguel Gomes.
