The French copyright society, SACEM, is working towards a European-level "coalition" of cultural industries in order to bring the sector's demands before the European Commission, its Director-General,aJean-Noel Tronc, told AFP on 27 January at MIDEM, the annual meeting of the music industry in Cannes. This "public-private dynamic" should be launched sometime in the summer, in time for the European elections in 2014.
