Former Health Commissioner John Dalli filed proceedings with the EU General Court (Case T-562/12)afor annulment of the "termination of office" decision. Dalli is claiming damages from the European Commission for material losses and moral injury. He resigned on 16 October 2012. Based on a report by the EU's Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), Dalli was suspected of covering up a corruption attempt. An investigation is ongoing in Malta.
