(1) Mediante carta a la Comisión Europea de 29 de julio de 2020, Irlanda notificó su deseo de participar en el Reglamento (UE) 2017/1954 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo (1) y de estar vinculada por él.
(2) No existen condiciones específicas aplicables a la participación de Irlanda en dicho Reglamento y no se precisan medidas transitorias.
(3) Los modelos armonizados y las normas comunes de seguridad de permiso de residencia en toda la Unión Europea facilitan el cruce de fronteras y contribuyen así al buen funcionamiento de un espacio de libertad, seguridad y justicia.
