(1) El Fondo Europeo de Adaptación a la Globalización para Trabajadores Despedidos (FEAG) tiene por objeto demostrar la solidaridad y promover un empleo digno y sostenible en la Unión apoyando a los trabajadores despedidos y a los trabajadores por cuenta propia que han cesado en su actividad en caso de reestructuraciones importantes y ayudándolos a volver a un empleo digno y sostenible lo antes posible.
