DENMARK'S ELECTROPA LAUNCHES WEB TV STATION.

The Danish company Electropa, in which the cinema company Zentropa, producer of Lars von Trier's "Dogma" films, holds a 50% stake, is to launch a television channel on the Internet in mid-April, head of programmes Henrik Foehns announced on March 20. The new channel, "Tvropa.com", is breaking ground in Europe alongside France's "Canalweb". It will be broadcast in English and will offer a wide range of films covering music, entertainment, economics, nature and gardening, etc. The channel plans to broadcast three-minute films on a variety of topics produced by a team of 101 individuals using digital cameras.
