DEUTSCHE TELEKOM COOPERATES WITH GTE ON SECURITY IN ELECTRONIC TRADE.

German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom will cooperate with GTE Networking, a subsidiary of the GTE of the United States that sells security mechanisms for electronic trade. Deutsche Telekom, owner of the first on-line server in Germany, will adopt GTE's CyberTrust Solutions Certifications Authority product, the company noted in a statement. Deutsche Telekom will therefore be able to work with GTE to create a certification service for financial transactions on the Internet, encompassing all user services: encoding of information on the credit card as well as authentication and control of access to the Web, according to the statement.
