YOCHANAN ALTMAN EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
With issue 4 of this volume, European Management
Review concludes fif teen years of pub lishing original
empirical papers, theory development articles, special
issues on dedicated topics, thought pieces and book
reviews: fifteen years of scholarship.
In the first paper of this issueAndersen, Haslberger and
Altman provide an overview, employing bibliometric
analyses of these past fifteen years. I would like to
highlight two points that come clearly out in this
overview. First, that EMR is truly a European journal
(yet with a global reach), based on the location of its
contributors institutions and the focus of its enquiries;
and second, the high regard in which EMR is held, as
revealed by the identity of the journals that cite its
publications. The overview also underlines the diversity
of EMR coverage and that is well represented by the
papers on offer in this issue:
The role of charismatic leadership in enabling
environmental initiatives; market co-creation-based co-
opetition in the case of pharmaceutical firms; the
balance between exploration and exploitation under
conditions of turbulence and complexity; the advisory
role of board of directors in SMEs; inter-organizational
trust in international alliances; female board members
and their impact on CSR reporting; Emanuel Levinas’s
relevance to organization studies; and an examination
of European corporations response to the forced
migration crisis in Europe.
I trust our readerswill find in this mélangesomething or
other to whet their appetite. Enjoy (and learn).
