The European Commission has issued an invitation to tender for the creation and updating of a database for the "Employment in Europe report" and employment research series. The Employment in Europe report has been produced annually since 1989. The editorial of the report, the main policy document, is produced in all Community languages comprising 40,000 copies. The full report is published in three languages in more than 20,000 copies. A mailing list was created to ensure distribution of the report, originally containing 10,000 addresses. A recent cleanup reduced it to less than 4,000 addresses. The database exists in a relational database called SAGA, developed by the Commission services.
