EU FUNDING FOR MINE-CLEARANCE IN CROATIA AND BOSNIA.
The European Commission is granting ECU 3 million for mine-clearance operations in Bosnia-Hercegovina (2 million) and Croatia (one million). In the case of Bosnia, the project fits into the context of a programme being implemented by the Civil Protection Agency, which was set up to build upon former Community investment in the country and help boost the development institutional structures for allowing national administrations to carry out long-term mine-clearance operations.
