Mag. Dr. Schmid Reinhard is a Police officer, Criminal Investigative Detective and Crime Scene Investigator, legal, forensic and project management expert, who works for the Vienna police and the Ministry of the Interior Austria since 1983. He is a member of the “Prüm member state founding group” as Austrian head of delegation since the beginning of the Prüm project in 2004 and supporter of numerous EU Member States, EU Council and EU Commission as Prüm evaluator and advisor.


He is also head of Austrian delegation in different EU Council LEA - Information Management and Information Exchange Working Parties, an austrian Delegate of International Standardisation Organisation (ISO) in SC 37 Working Party (Biometric data standards) and a member of national Austrian IO implementing project program steering committee and project leader for ongoing national reorganization of nBMS (National Biometric Matching Systems).
