Eutelsat and the Socit Europenne des Satellites (SES) have struck an agreement to co-ordinate their systems in order to optimise the use of the frequency spectrum for satellite broadcasting in Europe. The agreement, signed thanks to the involvement of Deutsche Telekom AG, covers both the current and anticipated use of certain orbital positions in the Ku frequency band allocated to the two companies for transmissions above Europe. The aim is to create new markets while continuing to guarantee uninterrupted transmissions above Europe.
