FOCUS : TSIPRAS WILL NOT SIT IN PARLIAMENT.

Despite being chosen by the Party of the European Left to take part in the race for the European Commission presidency, Alexis Tsipras will not be a candidate in the European elections. The name of the young leader of the Greek party SYRIZA will not appear on any list and he will therefore not sit in the European Parliament after the elections. Apparently he prefers to keep his role as opposition leader in Greece, perhaps with a view to another legislative election should support in the Greek parliament for the current coalition (New Democracy and PASOK) weaken in the coming weeks.
