The European Parliament approved, on 10 December 2013, the recommendation that will simplify ratification by the EU member states of Convention 170 of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) on safety in the use of chemicals at work. Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden and Luxembourg have already ratified the convention, after obtaining the Council's authorisation, since this question is related to EU law (Regulation 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, Regulation 1907/2006 on the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals and Directive 98/24/EC on the protection of workers' safety...
