Summary:Imagine a microwave oven connected to the Internet, an appliance that enables users to conduct banking operations and do their shopping from home. The world leader in cash dispensers, NCR has developed just such a device. Currently working on banking machines capable of recognising clients' irises, NCR is a leading payer in the area of futuristic technologies. Its new device, dubbed the "Microwave bank", proposes to move Internet access from computers to an everyday household appliance.

The oven door of the microwave bank will consist of a tactile screen that can be used to watch television or, at a touch, provide access to the Internet and offer users 24 hour access to banking services (a sign that NCR is not forgetting its core activity).
