Welcome to our latest international employment law update - designed to ensure those of you dealing with HR at an international level are kept up-to-date on changes to employment laws in some of the key business nations.

In this edition, we have decided to shine the spotlight on Europe (however, I promise that Brexit is not mentioned once)! This edition focusses on key cases that the courts across Europe have recently had to grapple with, and considers what the implications of these cases (as well as a few legislative developments) will be for employers. The subjects covered in the newsletter are as diverse as always, ranging from the introduction of a new "personal holiday" in Austria, a key ruling on overtime payments for part-time employees in Germany and the lawfulness of using GPS tracking devices to monitor employees in France.
