INTERNET: SPAIN PROMOTES TRAINING AND USE.

Ana Birules, the Spanish Minister for Science and Technology, and the Spanish Broadcasting Company, RTVE, have signed an agreement to promote a new campaign to promote internet use in Spain. RTVE will play a major role in transmitting the information campaign called "Internet for all" by the Minister and launched on May 16. During the campaign, people who need training on how to use the internet can receive a 15-hour course for Euro 15. Mrs Birules made clear that the programme is open to "citizens of all social and geographical categories". Particular efforts will be made to ensure the involvement of the most "digitally illiterate" sectors of the population (the elderly, immigrants, handicapped people...
