The high-level group on freedom of movement met in Brussels on 28 March to review the situation on the extension or abolition of transitional measures applied to workers from the new East European member states (EU8) in the "old" member states (EU15). One observer at the meeting reported "a fruitful exchange of views between experts noting progress on several fronts".
