PARLIAMENTARY VOTE ON COPYRIGHT DIRECTIVE POSTPONED.

A vote that the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs was scheduled to take, on December 8 in Brussels, on the Italian Socialist MEP's Roberto Barzanti report on a draft Directive on copyright in the information society has been put off until a later date. Referring to procedural reasons, several MEPs wanted the vote postponed and it should theoretically now be held on January 20, 1999.
