POLITICAL DEAL ON FOOD AND FEED EXPENDITURE.

A total of 1,891.936 million expenditure is foreseen for veterinary eradication programmes in food and feed production during the 2014-2020 period. A political agreement to this end was reached, on 20 December 2013, in three-way talks between Parliament, Commission and Council on the proposal for a regulation laying down provisions for the management of expenditure relating to the food chain, animal health and animal welfare, and relating to plant health and plant reproductive material.
