(1) El 11 de noviembre de 2019, el Consejo adoptó el Reglamento (UE) 2019/1890.
(2) A raíz de la revisión de dichas medidas, deben actualizarse y modificarse las menciones relativas a las personas físicas y jurídicas, entidades y organismos que figuran en el anexo I del Reglamento (UE) 2019/1890.
(3) Procede modificar el anexo I del Reglamento (UE) 2019/1890 en consecuencia.

Como vicepresidente y jefe del departamento de Prospección de la TPAO, Mehmet Ferruh Akalin es el responsable de la planificación, dirección y ejecución de las actividades de prospección marina de hidrocarburos que realiza la TPAO. Ello incluye las actividades de perforación de la TPAO, que no han sido autorizadas por la República de Chipre, indicadas a continuación. Dichas actividades de perforación no autorizadas fueron realizadas por: a) el buque de perforación Yavuz de la TPAO en el mar territorial de la República de Chipre, entre julio y septiembre de 2019;

el buque de perforación Yavuz de la TPAO en una parte de la zona económica exclusiva de la República de Chipre notificada por esta última a las Naciones Unidas y delimitada en un acuerdo con Egipto, entre octubre de 2019 y enero de 2020;
