The Portuguese government is expected to propose changes at the head of Portugal Telecom (PT) to shareholders, according to press reports on December 29. The future of current Executive Committee Chairman Miguel Horta e Costa has apparently still to be decided. "Several scenarios are being considered", according to the Diario Economico. The Diario de Noticias daily newspaper reported that PT is looking to expand its Executive Committee from five to seven members. Mr Horta e Costa, whose mandate is due to expire, may step down as Chairman of PT's Executive Committee. Rodrigo Costa and Henrique Granadeiros are the two names put forward by the press as likely members of the executive committee and possible successors to Mr Horta e Costa.
