A series of actions will be taken in the next two years to properly manage the changes and restructuring of the defence industry and ensure that neither workers nor the economy are affected. A European partnership for the anticipation of change in the defence industry' was launched, on 8 December in Brussels, on the occasion of the forum on restructuring, gathering the European Commission and the Aerospace & Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD), the European Metalworkers Federation (EMF) and the European Defence Agency (EDA). It will monitor developments in the industry, while the partners will exchange know-how on anticipating skills needs and managing restructuring in a socially responsible way.
