Arianespace has announced that an Ariane 4 rocket successfully placed two telecommunications satellites in orbit on March 29, less than thirty minutes after taking off from the Kourou space state in French Guiana. The two satellites were built by the American company Boeing Satellite systems Inc., the first, JCSAT-8, for the Japanese company JSAT Corporation, the leading Asian operator, and the second, ASTRA 3A, for the Luxembourg operator SES.
