A European Framework Strategy on Roma Inclusion should be developed by the Commission, according to MEPs, who adopted a report on the matter on 31 January. Parliament's intention is that the strategy would be implemented by a new Roma unit set up within the EU executive, and would serve to improve policy coherence at EU level.
