Switzerland's state telecommunications operator, Swisscom, has announced a 3.3% increase in net turnover for 1997 from 9.532 to 9.842 billion Swiss Francs (USD6.5 billion). In a statement issued on July 22, the group further announced the sale in October of up to 49.9% of capital. Fixed telephony accounted for SF6.668 billion, mobile telephony 1.371 billion and data and multimedia services 824 million.
