TELECEL HOPES TO DOUBLE NET PROFIT.

The Portuguese private mobile telephone operator, Telecel, announced on October 21 that its turnover for the first nine months of 1998 totalled Escudo 86.1 billion (USD 511.5 millions), up 37.8% on the same period last year. Over the same time scale, the company's cash-flow reached Escudo 32.8 billion (USD 194.8 million), up 43.9% on the first nine months of 1997.
