TELECOMMUNICATIONS: FRANCE TELECOM ORDERED TO SUSPEND SALE OF WANADOO ADSL PACKS.

Through a decision published by Deutsche Telekom subsidiary Club Internet/T-Online France, France's competition authority responding to an complaint lodged by the former, ordered the suspension on February 27 of sales of Wanadoo ADSL packs at France T?l?com branches. The competition authority has ordered France T?l?com to offer ADSL lines to Internet access suppliers competing with Wanadoo, under the same efficiency and tariff conditions as those granted to Wanadoo Interactive. The suspension of sales of ADSL packs at France T?l?com shops might be lifted once at least two contracts have been signed by France T?l?com and Internet access suppliers other than Wanadoo for the use of this system and following a trial period of at least one month, according to the authority's decision.
