TELEFONICA ORDERED TO CEASE MARKETING THREE PRODUCTS.

Spain's telecommunications market commission (CMT) has ordered Telefonica de Espana to cease marketing three products following a complaint from its competitors Astel, Tele2 et Wanadoo, the group revealed on January 4. A spokesperson for the group indicated that Telefonica rejects the decision, which has almost immediate effect, and plans to appeal. The Spanish telecommunications group argues in a statement that "the products in question offer specific advantages to users and benefit the sector as a whole". The CMT has frozen Telefonica's Linea Prepago, Linea Libre and Linea Internet offers which include a monthly subscription to a fixed telephone line and a set number of call minutes, on the grounds that they undermine free...
