Abstract
TheconceptofselfdeterminationisaveryoldconceptrevealedduringtheFren

a group of people for separation from a state. For Mill the important thing is the
condition to realize and demand the exercising of the right for selfdetermination as
afreewillexpressedfrompeoplerepresentedfromacommonfeelingofnationthe
wayitisexpressedisnotsoimportantAsignicantconceptrelatedtothisprincipal
isfoundintheDeclarationofIndependenceofUSAapprovedinJulywhich
treatstheseprincipleasastatepowerthatproceedsfromthereconciliation of the
powersthroughwhich He exercises the power conformtowhatpeoplehave the
righttodecideontheirownforthewayofgoverningfortheirsocialstatus
Inthisstatementisstated not just the right to ange or oblige having a wayof
governingwhenitisnotabletoassurelifefreedomandjoybuttheprincipleisalso
treatedasarighttostoppolitical relationsthat establishedwith othernationsand
tooccupyamongthepowersofthisworldthespecialandequalplacethatnatural
lawsandtheirnaturalgodgives
Theright for selfdetermination inthisstatement is mainlytreatedas a right tobe
exercisedinrelationwiththegovernmentandtherightofpeople
In this framework this article claims to historically analyze but also describe the
mostimportantactsinthehistoryofjurisprudenceoftheInternationalRightwhere
theideaandthe principleofselfdeterminationistreatedTheFrenStatementfor
Human Rights and the Statement of Rights for People of Russia, the Statement on
givingindependence to colonizedcountries and nationsthe International Pactfor
CivilPoliticalRightsandtheInternational Pact for the Economic, Social and Cultural
Rights, the Atlantic Card and the principle of self determination.
