The eurozone seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 10% in November 2009, compared with 9.9% in October (and 8% in November 2008). The EU unemployment rate was 9.5% in November 2009, compared with 9.4% in October (and 7.5% in November 2008), according to data published, on 8 January, by Eurostat. For the eurozone, this is the highest rate since August 1998 and for the EU since the start of the series in January 2000.
