VODAFONE PROFITS UP 60% OVER FIRST HALF YEAR.

Vodafone, Britain's leading mobile telephony operator has posted an operating profit of 476.9 million pounds for the first half of the financial year, a 60% improvement of the corresponding period last year, according to a statement published on November 17. Turnover is up 34% from 1.164 to 1.563 billion pounds, while operating profits prior to restructuring costs have risen 40% to 455.3 million pounds.
