Like a Mother
Earth is giving all she can
She wants you to know
She is doing her best
And that she has never asked for anything
But now
She's feeling tired
She's fading
And all she asks of you
Is that you might slow down
Slow down enough to feel
She's hurting
Slow down enough to hear
Her gentle cry.
