YOUNG DIRECTORS CALL FOR DIRECTIVE ON INFORMATION TO WORKERS.

The Centre for Young Company Directors (Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants d'entreprises) has come out in favour of the proposal for a Directive on worker consultation and information systems at national level which was tabled on November 11 by the European Commission. The Centre goes even further than this proposal, because it recommends implementing such a system in all companies with as few as three workers, instead of fifty as in the Commission proposal. Indeed, the young directors take the view that the question of information and consultation of workers should not arise.
