Twelve European electricity groups have joined forces to launch a professional Internet site for buying and selling power-sector equipment, according to an announcement by the Italian group Enel. Enel's partners in the venture are Electricite de France, the German utility RWE, Spanish companies Endesa and Iberdrola, Electrabel of Belgium, the British power groups United Utilities, Scottish Power, Northern Electric, and National Grid Company, the Swedish utility Vattenfall and the Dutch NUON.
